In conjunction with its Crazy Quilts exhibit, the Charleston Museum offers a Crazy Quilt workshop. Instructor Natasha Lawrence will show participants how to create a colorful lap quilt (30" x 30") using a variety of fabric swatches and decorative embellishments. Learn different stitches for seam treatments (by hand and machine). Included in the workshop registration fee are instructions, crazy lap quilt kit with assorted fabrics, border finish, muslin backing, laces, trims and ribbon embellishments, thread, needles & more. Instructor will discuss how to create a crazy quilt craft basket and where to find materials and supplies. Some sewing experience is helpful, but not required. This workshop is appropriate for adults and children 12 and older. Participants should bring scissors, ruler or measuring tape and a bag lunch.
