Home Schoolers and Scout Troops

Due to the overwhelming response from home schoolers in the area, we have developed a program designed to fit their needs. On the second Tuesday of each month we have "Home School History Days" from 10 until 11 a.m. These programs include a special tour or class, an activity, and a chance to go through the Museum. Scout Programs

The Charleston Museum offers several badge workshops throughout the year for Brownie and Junior Girl Scout Troops. At these workshops, scouts complete all requirements for a badge and receive the badge that day. Reservations are made through the Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina office at 843-552-9910. Click Here to visit our Calendar of Events for dates and programs. In addition, existing educational programs and exhibits can be customized for any scout troop.

Please contact the Education Department if you would like us to put on a badge workshop just for you. The following is a sampling of the Brownie and Junior Girl Scout workshops we can do. Brownie: Colors and Shapes, Building Art, Manners, Eco- Explorer, and more. Junior Girl Scout: World Neighbors, Clay and Ceramics, Local Lore, Art to Wear, Drawing and Painting, and more.
