Description:

One of eight northern pintail eggs discovered in Mountain View County after flushing the female from the nest (see CBE2468 - CBE2475). The eggs had been freshly laid in a nest that was "in deep grass on the ground. Lined with dry grass and down; not far from slough," (Hamm Slip).
