Description:
Photograph of the residence at 108 King Street with the old kitchen house in back. Both show evidence of modern renovations. The steeple of St. Michael's Church is in the background. Paine noted on reverse, "Historic Spots on Lower King St. rebuilt for modern use. Slave houses in rear. Photo Mar. 1938 by M.B. Paine Chas. S.C." The 1938 City Directory lists "E. Randall Swan, [harbor] pilot" as the home owner.
