Description:

One of three American white ibis eggs that were collected whenfreshly incubated and positively identified (see CBE2672 - CBE2674). The nest was "of sticks, twigs and salt water cedar leaves and placed in salt water cedar tree about 5 ft. from ground. In large colony of herons, egrets, and ibises on island in Cooper River. This is the first set of this species found in salt water habitat in S.C.," (Cutts slip).
