Description:
Color photograph of the old Charleston Museum on fire. A group of firefighters can be seen fighting the flames with water hoses in the lower left corner. Dental student, Tony Martin, shot this image from Ashley Avenue after midnight. According to "The News and Courier," firemen arrived on scene around 11:22 pm. on October 18 and battled the blaze for two hours before bringing it under control.
