Description:
Currently on display in the Armory at the Museum this .55 caliber British Military flintlock pistol has a smooth bore barrel which is round for a half-length at muzzle end and octagonal at the breech. The barrel is brass banded with a low bladed foresight and no rearsight.
This piece is said to be one of a pair purchased from the estate of Francis Marion. More research is needed.
