Description:
A sample of graphic pegmatite with an intergrowth of quartz and feldspar, from a small vein, which somewhat resembles Egyptian hiergyphics (hence, "graphic"). Collected about 2 miles north of the Pacolet River on Highway 18, circa 1972.
