Description:

One of three short-billed gull eggs collected from Spenard Lake in Spenard, South Central District, Alaska. Stribling's slip noted the nest was "approximately 20 feet from ground in Alaska spruce tree, made of small sticks, lined with grasses." It was also noted that "this was the colony of short-bills found nesting in trees. All others found were nesting in open tundra. Bonaparte gull found nesting with 2 eggs near by Alaska spruce tree." The eggs were later acquired by Ernest Cutts. (see CBE1923 - CBE1925)
