Description:

One of three glaucous gull (Larus hyperboreus hyperboreus) eggs (see CBE8902 - CBE8904) collected for W. Raine from Vistimanni, Iceland. Raine noted their incubation had begun prior to collection and that they had been found in a nest of seaweed on the ledge of a sea cliff. They were later acquired by Ernest Tabor.
