Description:
One of three great black-backed gull eggs (CBE1870 - CBE1872) collected from Tjornes, Iceland. Palsson's slip noted that the eggs had been freshly laid at the time of collection. The nest "was on a grassy ledge of a sea cliff some 3 mi. = 4.83km. from Husavik. It was made of some scraps of dry grass." They were later acquired by Ernest Cutts.
