Description:
Two samples (GR517a-b) of marble (limestone) that have a layered gray rock with wide gray layers and narrow yellow layers. Both samples were collected from the Hell Hole branch, 1,000 feet north of Chauga River, 8.1 miles north, 41? west of Walhalla, c. 1900.
