Description:
One of nine Eurasian wigeon eggs that were collected from Laxardal, North Iceland (see CBE2375 - CBE2383). The incubation had just started and the eggs identified when the bird was flushed. The nest "was a hollow scooped in the ground under a shrub on a hillside. It was lined with leaves from the shrub also some down," (Palsson slip).
