Description:
Photograph of a bus traveling south past the Branford-Horry House (59 Meeting) toward the photographer. The front destination sign indicates the "Battery" route. Paine set his camera up on the sidewalk at the corner of Meeting and Tradd Streets and captured several automobiles parked along both sides of the street along with the steeple of St. Michael's Church in the background. His notation on reverse reads, "The first Chas. S.C. Motorbus, Jan. 1934." See MK 14810 for the second photograph of this series.
