Description:
Black and white photograph of three officers of a tank destroyer battalion using binoculars to survey troop lines from an observation post. Further details are typed on reverse, "Officers survey the lines from the observation post of a tank destroyer battalion which stemmed the German counterattack in Bihain, Belgium. 1st Lt. A.D. Covatto, Louisville, Ky., directed the fire which accounted for two Mark Vs and a Mark IV tank." The name of "Col. G.R.F. Cornish" is also handwritten on the back.
