Page 12 - Santee Gun Club, Heron Nest

Description:

Photograph of a group of trees. Notation found on reverse indicates the photographer was focusing on a "Heron nest." Although the location is not identified it is presumed to be the Santee Gun Club (formerly Blake's Plantation).

The image was taken during the 18th annual meeting of the American Association of Museums which coincided with the 150th Anniversary of the founding of The Charleston Museum. Then Director, Laura Bragg arranged for tours of various sights and plantations around the Lowcountry for the AAM members and their spouses.
