Description:
Photograph of the St. Francis Xavier's Infirmary when located at 258-266 Calhoun Street on the northeast corner of Ashley Avenue. A spring tide has caused flooding and F.F. Sams set his camera up directly across to capture the water-filled street. A lone man stands on the porch. Sams' handwritten notation beneath the image reads, "St. Francis Xavier's Infirmary (Marine Ward) - Spring Tides."
Gift of Franklin Taliaferro Sams.
