Photograph of a large crowd watching as the cornerstone was laid for the South Carolina Inter-State and West Indian Exposition. Sams captured another photographer standing on the roof-top of a horse-drawn wagon preparing to take a photo. His only handwritten notation beneath the image simply numbers it as "(2)."
