Description:

One of four glossy ibis eggs that were freshly incubated and identified by the birds present when collected (see CBE2675 - CBE2678). The nest was "of sticks and short lengths of reed stems and lined with salt water cedar leaves and placed in salt water cedar tree about 6 ft. from ground in dense growth. In colony of herons and egrets on island in Cooper River. This is first set of eggs of this species found in South Carolina," (Cutts sip).
