Description:
One of three glossy ibis eggs in which incubation had started and were identified by the birds present when collected (see CBE2704 - CBE2706). The nest was "of sticks and cypress leaves and placed in small salt water bush about 5 ft. from the ground on small island in Cooper River. Large rookery of herons, egrets and ibises inhabit the dense thicket," (Cutts sip).
