Description:
A sample of pale dove gray - semi schistose quartz-hornblende. The identity needs further study, but matches Earle Sloan's description of the rock in this area. Collected a half mile below Mud Mine on the side branch alongside the road, 3.8 miles south 77? east of Glenn Springs, c. 1900.
