Paine appears to be experimenting not only with his photography but its development as his notations on reverse reflect, "3 Lamps. 30 sec F32 Large Room - 3 Lamps 12 sec. F22 small light room - 4 Lamps. 3 close up and 1 at Back Light room F22 - 14 secs."
