Description:

One of eleven blue-winged teal eggs (see CBE797 - CBE807). Norman slip noted the nest was "on ground among dead grass, 20 feet from water. A very heavy ring of down surrounded the eggs." Incubation of the clutch was well advanced by the time of collection and identification was confirmed after observing the female leave the nest. This egg, along with the rest of the clutch, was later acquired by Alexander Sprunt, Jr.

Synonym: Anas discors discors Linnaeus, 1766
