Description:

Photgraph of the Thomas Doughty House on Anson Street.

The daughter of Daniel Legare, Mary, was married to Thomas Doughty and it was she who inherited the lot after the death of her father. They had this brick structure built c.1806, replacing an earlier structure. The unusual T-shaped floorplan allows for windows on three sides of the main rooms in the house.
