Description:

Black and white photograph of the house identified as the Tiedeman House located at 152 Broad Street. The Tiedeman's lived directly across from the Sams' family who resided at 37 New Street. Slightly different view than MK 7558a. Printed from a glass plate negative held in the Museum's collection.

The house at 152 Broad was designed by architect, John Henry Devereaux, for paint dealer William M. Bird in 1885. Bird never used the building as his residence and sold it in 1889 to Otto Tiedeman, a German grocer.
