Description:
Watercolor on paper illustrating a figure walking toward the viewer through the dune grass on a beach. The roundness of the dunes is conveyed using purple shadows. A figure in a blue shirt and pale blue shorts walks toward the viewer just above the dunes with the open ocean visible behind him. This painting is an example of the wet-in-wet technique, in which the pigment is applied to an already wet surface causing the strokes to bleed together.
